It's Sunny !

Hey Everyone !

At the moment me and mum are having a few days away and it's the first time we have been away from dad on the 12th, I am missing him loads but me and mum are enjoying time together.

The weather has finally turned nice even although I don't think it's going to last very long, but it's nice to be siting in the garden and wearing shorts for a change. Mabel and Lottie are absolutely loving the weather as they can just chill in the garden all day and go swimming in the beck, so I think we have two very happy labs at the moment.

My exams are finally over (phew) and school's not too serious right now because we are getting close to the end of the school year, which feels so good because I know that I have 8weeks to chill, well a lot of work but I will definitely make time to relax. I love the summer holidays because I can just hang out with my friends and family. And me and mum are hoping to go camping in Cornwall as well, with Callum, Catriona and their mum.

I have started running with the Walney Wind cheetahs and its really good. I am trying to improve my fitness and hopefully this is helping me out. It's such a great group because everyone is so laid back and no one's too serious or competitive.

Mum and dad have booked a holiday to the AMAZING Maldives for us all this summer and I am so over the moon about this because if I could visit any where in the world, I have always said I would go there. I have been very busy buying ALOT of clothes ( mainly bikinis) for it and can't wait to wear them all. We will be in the Maldives on the 12th of July which is 6 months since Alice died and we have arranged a coral frame planting on that day. It is where you dive down to the ocean floor and plant a coral which is then there forever and in years to come we can go and look for it and it will still be there and it will grow and give new life. Alice would like that.

I hope everyone is having a good month so far and continues to. I will post again next month when I will be in the sunny Maldives if I can, but I am not sure there will be wifi out there.

Milly xxx

It's always nice to read your blog posts, you sound like you are busy and making the most of the sunshine. And running sounds good! Good on you.
Wow I bet the Maldives will have lots of sun and it'll be a great place to relax and what a beautiful way to be thinking of Alice with the coral. Will it really be 6 months? I expect it's been the strangest 6 months of your life. Don't worry about posting until you are back! You should relax and enjoy your time there.
    Lots of love

  7. Hi Milly!
Are you sure that it is still sunny in Ulverston? It's freezing and raining in Kendal! The coral frame planting is such a beautiful idea- I've seen these on nature programmes. It will grow and flourish, and make the world a better place, like Alice did, and you and your parents continue to do. You are a very special person, so I hope you enjoy your very special holiday. (Just remember that when you come back, you'll go from bikini to woolly jumpers, within a day!) Take care, and fingers crossed for your exams.xx

  21. Hi Milly. I found this blog just today and I love that you are continuing your sister's journey through the blog.

I am from and live in the Maldives and I hope that you and your family have a great time here. The planting coral idea is really good and I hope you can do it.

In Male' (the capital city) there's a monument built for those who died in Tsunami, but me and my friends, we see it as a place to honour the people whose lives touched us. If you have time, may I suggest a visit there?

    Have a great holiday. :D

PS Most resorts and islands in Maldives have wi-fi and broadband internet access. :)
