Oh dear and I thought that I was just doing a little blog for a few friends! Thank you so much for all your lovely messages to me. I don't sleep very well and I sat up all night reading them as they came in from all over the planet, every single one, and they have made me smile so much so that is a good thing.
There isn't a Paypal or Donate button on here, because I didn't mean for this to be such a big thing. It was just so that I could write on here and do the things I wanted to do and my friends could read about it them, which I'm still going to do. It's nice you're all here too but I really don't want any money giving and we've actually been offered so many wonderful experiences that I've definitely got a lot of exciting days ahead. My mum was trying to reply to everyone and it all got a bit mad and now we have a little team of friends helping us out so that we can get back to everyone.
I'm excited about the things I am going to be doing, but the biggest thing has to be all the people who are joining bone marrow donation schemes because of me. I read on someones post that it is really painful. Well, mostly bone marrow is taken as cells via a needle and I have had it done. I was 13 when I had my first transplant and because they used my own cells, I had to have them taken out (they call it harvested) and then stored and put back in some months later after more chemo. I'm not just saying this, but it really didn't hurt at all. I had a tiny bruise from the needles and that was about it. I was a bit tired too but I'm always tired so that may not have been the cells.
So, I was never begging and I don't need any money but I do love to get your messages and I hope you'll follow my blog and keep leaving me a message. I will take a camera with me wherever I go and I'll post photos of everything I do. In return, you can keep asking everyone you bump into to join the bone marrow donation schemes in your country.
Hey Alice :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really wishing you good luck also, and I guess I helped a little by retweeting your hashtag to some brazilian people I know.
You don't have to try answering me, though.
But I have a suggestion that maybe you had already listened of. You should look for Reiki. This might help you with pain, stress and even the issue itself.
Please don't lose hope :3
Alice you are very brave and wonderful! I just wanted to wish you all my love and best wishes. Scott Morrison (Scotland, UK)

Animal protein is the leading cause of cancers in the west and removing it from your diet can reverse the growth of cancer cells!
Hopefully it's not too late for you.
If it is, hopefully others will learn from it and start on a purely plant-based diet.
All the best and don't give up!
When I saw your blog, I instantly wanted to send you a message, don't really know what to say now though lol(how to put it into words, I mean). I guess what I want to tell you is that I wish you the best, I really, really mean it. Kisses from Brazil.
ReplyDeleteTo swim with sharks! Awesome your mad like me I swam with tiger sharks in a tank in Chester you can see the website here - http://sharkdives.blueplanetaquarium.com/

ReplyDeleteHi Amazing Alice,
ReplyDeleteI believe in miracles and I am praying that there is one for you. But YOU are making miracles for many, many people that you will never meet! People who may have no hope without a bone marrow transplant. What an awesome legacy. Your life may end up short on years, but your list of accomplishments is already LONG! I pray that you will succeed with all possible adventures on your bucket list. You can add "Inspire thousands of people across the world". And check it off now!
I hope you are able to cross many many things off that bucket list of yours---and add more!
ReplyDeleteSending love.
You will have heard it before and you're going to hear it a million times - Alice, you are an inspiration !
ReplyDeleteHave RT'd and posted on FB.

You are Brave Young Lady.....May All your wishes and Dreams Come True....
ReplyDeleteHi! well I know you may not read this cuz there are tons of comments here but look, My Granpa has been fighting 25 years with Cancer and he is still here with us and with 84 years old, You are just 15 and your body sick or healhty is better than one from an elderly so don't give up, You can make it through this and have more years of fighting more look everything is Mental, if you believe you won't make it through this you won't cuz you are thinking you can't but scientist have prove that if people think they are cured and there is a cure and they will make it through they life like that case of a guy that had Cancer and they gave him a pill saving that it was the cure for cancer (it was for headache) he took it and in a moth the tumors that he had disolved and he lived but then like 10 years later they told him it wasn't really a cure and he died 6 days after that cuz he though he was gonna die cuz he haven't had a cure.... That proves that the cure is in your mind and body, the body heal itself and the mind controls everything so You HAVE to BEALIEVE you will make it through ok?.... Hope this have help if you read ....
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes...
Isabel Flor :)
hey! its 1:23 and I was in my university library trying to revise for an exam tomorrow when I saw a couple of friends crowded round a computer. When I went over they showed me your blog and we all thought you were the sweetest thing ever. You seem so mature for your age and very inspirational. Please keep fighting and even though it may seem impossible NEVER give up hope. Keep smiling :) Shanaka + friends - University of Birmingham.
ReplyDeletePraying for you my dear.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to send you plenty plenty of hearts (though you already got a big heart) to show that there's people out here who have you in their minds, hearts and send their strenght to you.
I hope you get to do everything, EVERYTHING, you want to do! Because you really deserve it.
Hi Alice, I tried to post a comment when I first read your blog there were only a couple of comments at the time but my ipod wouldn't let me! Its great to see so much support for you, I hope your not finding it overwhelming. I'm currently trying to get lots of people to send you and Milly any happy post
ReplyDeleteI feel cheeky asking but I know Milly is currently trying to get lots of people writing, I wondered if you would mind including a link to Post Pals, hopefully both you and the others will get lots of smiles in the post some of the kids haven't had much post lately. If you don't want to thats 100 %ok, I don't mind at all!
I've got a card I will write for you in the morning and Dottie is off somewhere exciting with Kate D but I better stay quiet about what and where so I don't ruin the surprises.
I have sadly known so many very poorly kids but never known anyone who has so many people who care for them, some people say people are special when they cope with their illness really well, but I knew you were special long before you got ill.
Lots of love, and my card will be on the way soon, please give Mabel a cuddle from me!
Viks
psDid you ever see the pictures of how Pal William M's puppy got about? He used to sit in a bag- his head poking out attached to the back of Wills wheelchair! Will try and find the pics- so so cute!
psIf Milly has anything she would like to do, even if you want to keep it private let us know and Post Pals can do it less publically x
ok how weird, it says my post contains illegal characters, so ive taken out my smiley faces and bracets!
I have to say.. at first I was skeptical. I know its sad when people doubt others in pain. There was a woman here in the US that faked a stillborn birth for donations. You never know what people would do for money.. but after reading that you do not want donations, broke my heart. You're an awesome girl and your mom has got to be so strong. I have a little girl of my own and I barely can take when she has a cold. I couldn't imagine knowing that some day I would be without her instead of the other way around.
ReplyDeleteYou only being 15 years old and having to face an unfair outcome and being so accepting of it is something more than I can say about myself. I still have not come to grips with my own mortality as every time I think about it I go into a panic attack.
I wish you luck on your journey to finish what you can on your bucket list. You obvious have a lot of people out here thinking and prayer about you. Safe journey to you and I hope and pray for an easy road for your family and friends. Good luck my dear and try to stay strong!
Now that you have loads of famous people thinking about you im not sure of the level of importance you may place on this message but i just wanted to add my best wishes. You truly are an inspiration. I don't know you but your exceptional strength and standout personality is clear for all these people to see. Again, a true inspiration!!!!
ReplyDeleteMichael, 23. Ireland.
Your dog is adorable, good luck with your bucket list! I hope you have an amazing time
ReplyDeleteBe blessed honey! You are lovely. Your blog has inspired me to try and live each day with happiness and joy.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of the blog is really nice. Sincerily I hope you can make all your dreams come true , this is really inspiring ! I hope god blesses you . Good luck girl :)

Letting good tears fall as I read: Alice's Bucket List. Thank you, Alice, for the smiles your story has provided. It's been fun re-tweeting other tweets supporting you today. ~ A fellow blogger, Lil
ReplyDeleteAlice,
ReplyDeleteI lost everything in the Tuscaloosa tornado on April 27th. Since that day, I haven't had much inspiration or drive to build everything back and get my life back off the ground. After reading your blog and seeing your smiling face, I feel so inspired. You're one of a kind. You'll never know how many people you've made smile. I'm just another one of them.

Be proud of yourself.

ReplyDeleteGreetings Alice!
ReplyDeleteI found out about your blog from a few celebrities that I follow on Twitter! You are really making the rounds out there in cyberspace :)
Your posts are so heartfelt and sincere and your "Bucket List" is very modest. I hope that your new-found celebrity brings you wonderful experiences. I know that you did not set out to gain that sort of attention but I think that is what endears you to so many all the more.
I am looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
God bless and best of luck!
Marty - Orlando, FL USA
Thanks for being so strong in the face of this adversity. You inspire me and my friends to Relay for Life, so thank you. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Alice, it must be weird to have all these strangers contacting you but it's a testament to your inspiring story! I hope you don't mind but I've written to Cadbury World Birmingham (though I'm sure someone else is already on the case for you) so I hope they come back to you! I'm also looking into Dolphin swimming for you...watch this space. What I really hope is that Take That respond, keeping everything crossed for you =D I'm looking into bone marrow donating too! Stay strong and enjoy every minute. Love Sarah G x
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping your bucket list is all checked off (those that are still possible). If we weren't in North America, I think my choccy-loving daughter would be doing her best to make sure your chocolate goals are met.
ReplyDeleteYou are wiser than most to fully live this one life.

I really hope you get better :) much love and support from Morocco!
ReplyDeleteAlice,
ReplyDeleteThere's a mobilization on Twitter and your bucket list is trending, worldwide.
I... I don't know what to say to you, because you're such a brave person, a strong girl and you're only 15.
My mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she is about to start chemo and radiation therapy.
I can't describe how proud I am of you and, at the same time, how sad it makes me.
Stay strong, Alice. You are in my thoughts.
Much love from Nathalia, Brazil.
Dear Alice,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear of all the things you are going through. At such a young age as well. I too, like others, wish there was more I could do for you. All I can offer right now is my thoughts and my prayers which you most certainly have. You are strong and brave to go through all this. Never forget that. A lot of us around the world are praying hard for you. Try to stay encouraged and when there are times you don't feel so, that is ok too. Just close your eyes and imagine all of us there holding your hand.
~ Missy
ALICE,

Dear Alice,
ReplyDeleteI read your blog, which really touched my heart, after wiping away the tears i wanted to reach out to you and hope that you live a full life and manage everything on your bucket list.
If there is anything I can help with from Australia, please let me know :-)
I know people have said this in many messages... But you really are so brave I am glad you can face the hardest of things with a smile on your face and positive thoughts, many adults cannot do this!!! Good for you!
I look forward to reading your blog posts and seeing your adventures unfurl.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Martyn
Consider yourself responsible for one more bone marrow donor than there was yesterday. I signed up online today after hearing about you on Twitter. God bless you and I wish you all the best. You are making great things happen.
ReplyDeleteYou're a very strong young lady, and you have learned in 15 short years EXACTLY what life is about; some live 80 years and never fully appreciate it. I love your dog, too! She's so pretty, as are you! You continue to be strong and never give up. Miracles do happen!

Hi beautiful girl! Just letting you know that I am praying for you! I am praying for your soul and your life and that everything you want to accomplish you do. I am also praying that you will win this battle, because I know you are strong! So much love, sweet girl! <3
ReplyDeleteHope this gives you a sense of Africa and Kenya where I grew up. My thoughts are with you and your family. You are obviously an incredible and inspirational person.
ReplyDeletePulsing through my heart is the drumbeat of Africa,
It calls me back to the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
My eyes yearn to see the bourganvilliia blossom and the mango tree,
My senses seek the sweet fruit of the papaya and Burundi tea.
I recall the rythm of those reggae songs we heard,
Drinking through the night at Half London with our senses blurred,
Never to be forgotten nights when the music never ends,
In Kampala with like-minded strangers and other close friends.
Oh my mysterious Africa, how will I ever forget,
The crickets clicking at night or your crimson sunset,
Your verdant hillside forests, the thorn bush on your grassy plains,
Your rusty red dust in my eyes or your tropical rains?
Oh Africa! Land of the lion, the leopard and the elephant,
No other land entices me with such enchanted scent,
No lover is more seductive nor captivating in her charms,
As you Africa, when you enfold me in your arms.
The gorillas in the mist, I would not have missed,
Nor the aroma of your coffee or the girls I kissed,
Nor the grazing Eland, the Oryx, or the Fish Eagle's screech,
Nor your palm fringed beaches, or the shining stars, beyond my reach.
Alice, you're a beautiful, strong soul with thousands of people praying for you. Your bucket list is truly an inspiration and reminder for all of us to be present in every moment. I look forward to reading about your adventures. Best and warmest wishes. <3
ReplyDeleteHi Alice, I have a daughter who is 15 and she is living overseas this year and and another who is 17 and stuck here doing her final school exams. I saw that you really wanted to travel and so I wanted to share with you my 1000 words for Summer project which I started so people from the other side of the planet could see how others enjoy their Summer. Lots of people have taken part sharing words, photos and other artistic creations both in my studio and online. The project has a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/1000-Words-for-Summer-project/286098323572 where there are lots of lovely pics to cheer you up. I even made a short video for a competition which you can see on u-tube http://youtu.be/nWpi3be3alw and there's a virtual quilt http://pittwaterspirit.com.au/vignettes/virtual-quilt. So I know you can't travel, but maybe you can sit on your hospital bed and look through the images if you are not too tired. Wishing you all the best of luck. You are very courageous and remember that even though your body is unable to travel, your spirit will travel far. You are very special. With love :)Suzi
ReplyDeleteAlice,
ReplyDeletePrayers from Arkansas. I hope that you know the Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us to take away our sin and shame. He can make you whole. Turn your eyes upon Him. He will give you strength in this trying time. If you accept His free offer of Grace and Forgiveness he will never leave nor forsake you, and He will grant you eternal life. I am praying for God's blessing in your life, and for healing in your body. You are such an inspiration to so many people. God bless you and your family.
You are an amazing person inspiring people throughout the world! Sending prayers your way from Grand Rapids Michigan USA.
ReplyDeleteHey Alice,
ReplyDeleteI know you guys don't watch "American" football over there in the UK, but over here we are the equivalent of your "soccer" players. Just wanted to say you are way tougher than me, or any of my teammates!, and that we are all pulling for you here across the pond! Good luck in your fight and just know that you give strength to a LOT more people than you could even imagine.

Hey Alice, I'm from Brazil, and your blog is being much commented on here! Good luck in this battle.
ReplyDeletekisses Giovanna
The Twitter community have been talking with companies like Cadbury's World and Alton Towers and they've said they will be in touch with you. I hope they do, and I hope you are well enough to enjoy the trips.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is inspirational and just reading it made me realise how brave you are. I wish you all the luck in the world for the coming months!
The internet is an amazing place, Alice! If you have the time and energy, you should start a twitter account and really raise awareness about bone marrow donation. If you started a charity of sorts for others in your position, I'd donate, and I'm sure I wouldn't be alone. I think it's sweet that you're not asking for anything for yourself, but it would be a great opportunity to help others that live in countries without national health care. I'm Canadian, and like you, it's not something I ever have to worry about, not having the money to get treatment, but we're very lucky.
ReplyDeleteIf your health improves and you would be able to go whale watching in Canada, I have some connections in Nova Scotia, where they guarantee you'll see them in August and September. I also know a number of people that would put your and your family up.
Wishing you all the best,
Caroline
i signed up to be a marrow donor about a month ago. hopefully i'm a match out there for someone who needs it. you can cross that off
ReplyDeleteYou are trending on Twitter Alice! Your story is absolutely beautiful and you truly are an inspiration! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteMay God make this whole world shine for you. You and your family will be in my prayers. Dale - Pensacola, FL
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in a 15 year of a 15 year old having a "bucket list" just as I don't believe in the word terminal. My grandfather was given a year to live back in 1997 and he is still here in 2011 thanks to the saving powers of God. I encourage you to continue your list because you are a terrific human being who deserves this outpouring of loving comments. Everyone hopes to live life to fullest and you are a living example of that expressions which serves as an inspiration to us all.
ReplyDeleteAlice, please don't ever give up. This life is full of surprises, you never know what can happen. Make sure you never lose hope. I really hope you accomplish everything on your heart desires. You are such an inspiration and a truly beautiful girl, inside and out. Continue to live the positive and exciting life you appear to be living, sweet girl. I send you and your family lots of love from California :)

i hate posting not knowing if you've responded because i can't really take the time to search out my comment. but <3 i have thought about being a bone marrow donor... but i know there is a recovery time, which i don't have time for right now... so one day... i already donate blood, which always post-pones the concepts of ever getting a tattoo (b/c i hate the idea of not being able to donate blood b/c i have to wait a yr after tattooed), and am on all organ and all tissue donation list :)
ReplyDeleteAlice, you are precious. Know of my prayers from the USA, know that God loves you soooo much! I'm so glad I am aware of you now so that I can pray for you. ~~Leigh from Alabama, USA
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you! Hug your parents everyday.

WOW. You are a strong young adult. I lost my sister in law to cancer and you remind me so much of her. They told her she only had a little time, but she lived life to the fullest. God didn't put expiration labels on any of us. You are an inspiration to live each day to the fullest. You have the support of me in the USA, across the pond. Best wishes and continue to love your mom or mum, family and friends. It looks like you have a great support system. My mum is fighting breast cancer and stories like yours give her hope. God bless you. RICH in Kansas City, MO USA.

ReplyDeleteYou are such an inspiration! Good luck with your list! I hope you have all of the experiences you dreamt of. I'll definitely be signing up to be a marrow donor :)
ReplyDeleteAlice your determination and strength have brought tears to me, 7 years ago I lost a little cousin aged 3 to leukemia, 5 years ago another cousin aged 19 to leukaemia, in October of last year my uncle again to leukaemia and last week I buried one of my best friends once again to leukaemia. Every day in life I try and encourage one person to become a bone marrow donor or even to donate blood or platelets.
ReplyDeleteYour story is an inspiration to everyone and I am so pleased that so many people as a result are joining because of you.
I am sure your family are extremely proud of you, I hope you keep fighting this illness, you and your family will be in my prayers
With all my love and hope for your future
Massive hugs to you

I lost my father last September through the journey we traveled with his having Melanoma on his head. He was diagnosed in March and we had 6 WONDERFUL and FULFILLING months with him.
He taught us so much in such a short period of time, much like you are doing now with your remarkable journey. Sometimes we learn our greatest lessons through troubled times.
My dad taught us that the simplest things in life are truly the most important. We watched many sunrises and sunsets as we sipped coffee on the back porch watching the hummingbirds swarm around our heads.
At other times he took the time for strolls around the yard pointing out special flowers and trees that he wanted us to keep going after he left. As he weakened we rode the golf cart and marveled at the beauty of the day.
At still other times, we sat by the pond and marveled at his patience while teaching a young friend how to put bait on his hook and catch a bream or catfish and successfully release it for another day of fishing.
Some of the most important lessons were learned as we watched him humble himself to the rigors of medicines and treatments that ultimately allowed him the "good" hours and days that he shared with us.
We saw, that instead of groaning and moaning about his plight in life, he took the time to visit with friends and family, talk to strangers about their souls and spirituality, and give the gift of laughter and joy to all that came to "cheer" him up.
He taught us the importance of mending bridges and relationships with that who had “pulled away” because of petty disagreements in times in the past.
He took the time to make sure we knew the importance of thanking our Lord for each day of life, meal that we ate, and blessing that we received. He made sure that God was praised for the good things and never blamed for the hurtful and bad things.
Since there are five of us with spouses and children and grandchildren, he asked that we come “home” for visits and bonding through his time of suffering, time that we ultimately spent in song and praise for the greatness and goodness of life and the love of our God.
I have written this in hope that you, and others, can see that your time is now to make the most of each hour and each day. Seek out those you want to be with and tell them how much you love them and what they mean to you.
We are not promised the next minute of life so we realize the simple gifts that are always within our grasp wherever we may be.
Love with all of you heart, Share with your entire mind, and live with all of your being.
I can see that, in my opinion, you have not given up and there are many things still left to do.
Live each day to the fullest and, when you pillow your head to sleep, place your worries and fears in Gods hands, knowing that you have not wasted a minute of the precious time he has blessed you with.
Thank you for being here and allowing me to find you and share with you as you have shared with me.
I hope to talk with you again and I look forward to seeing your progression in life.
My Love and appreciation to you,
Kyle Smith - Sylacauga, Alabama
One of my good friends has a disease of her bone marrow called aplastic anemia that she's been fighting for over 10 years. She's in the hospital now undergoing experimental treatment that will decide her fate. There's definitely a huge need for more bone marrow donors so I'm very thankful that you may have inspired people to donate. I've had a bone marrow biopsy before and it honestly is nothing compared to what people like you are suffering from. Everyone should donate and save a life! Good luck Alice! Keep your head up. I really hope you get to do everything you want to in this lifetime :)

ReplyDeleteHi Alice
ReplyDeleteYou are such an strong-heart. I think it is a amazing idea to share your dreams with all the people who love you, I do understand what u r going thru because i lost my husband Cristian 7 months ago and he was planning to do the same for our son that just turn 2 years but time ran out and he was not able.I just wanted to send you a big hug even you don't know me. I hope you spend the best days ever and keep happy, because this is what keeps other people loving you.
I am so sorry to hear your cancer is getting worse. I have never had cancer but have always wondered what it would be like. It must really make you think about what you want to do with your life. I think its great you have a bucket list, its so important to have goals you want to achieve in life and to enjoy life. I see you will be doing that. Please just complete your bucket list and enjoy doing it! Just BE HAPPY :) Happiest is the most important thing in life above everything else. Just be happy... your blog just reminded me just how precious life is because tomorrow it could be me diagnosed with cancer...you just never know... I wish you the best and I hope you will find inner peace in your last days here on Earth. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to complete your bucket list. Good luck and thanks for sharing your story. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteJoined the U.S. Marrow.org registry. Praying for you. Will-a humbled Police Officer in Florida
ReplyDeleteYou're extremely inspiring. I have faith that you will complete every time on your bucket list. You've made a difference in so many lives.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this journey with us - you're in the prayers of a lot of people (as you can tell here), and we hope for nothing but the best for you and your family. Keep blogging - we want to follow your story!
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful. I mean that in every way!! You are an amazing person. I am a mom to an almost 15 year old, and a would be 16 year old, should he have lived the long life I expected him to.
ReplyDeleteHe passed away in 2005, after battling most of his life with medical problems that no one said he could overcome, but he did...at least for the better part of a decade, which made him a miracle. I'm praying for a miracle for you my dear. I can see here you have touched many lives. Don't ever think your life has been in vain, because it has NOT!
Whatever God chooses to happen..whether it be heal you or call you home, you will be happy, safe, and touching lives forever. I pray he gives you that miracle. No child should ever have to suffer. No child should ever have to lose their life. I don't know why God tests us and why he choses some and not others.
At your age I got hit by a truck going nearly 70 MPH on foot, and I was thought to be dead by all whom witnessed the accident, and yet I didn't break a one..not a one bone in my body. Miracles happen, but there is also always a plan for each of our lives.
I went through so many tough times where I said, 'God why didn't you take me?' I had a should have been fatal case of Reye's Syndrome a rare disease at 6 years old. My parents were prepared for my death, they had me in ice as I was burning up, my organs were shutting down, and on Christmas morning I woke up, fever broke, I was home 2 days later. NEVER count yourself out. I have learned this quite well:) There is no power higher then God, and this includes doctors, but you should strive to do all the things you wish to do in this life. We all should do that. We dont need an illness to have a bucket list and fight to make our dreams come true...WHY? Anyone of us can be here today and gone tomorrow. I think you make a lot of people realize that, and your life holds SO much purpose! More then you know.
You are amazing, strong, and I admire your courage and the inspiration you are providing others. It makes us all remember how fragile life is, and to never take a second of it for granted. We all need to live more like we are dying, instead of just 'living to get by.'
God bless you hun. I'm here for you if you ever need a friend.
xoxo Shelly

well missy, you just go for those bucket list items and we will watch you knock 'em down. Never limit your expectations. Put a button up for allowing others to help you with your dreams. rock on!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little light you are. Your grace in the face of this enormous battle is a joy and an inspiration to the world. I send you & your family all of my love and good wishes for the road ahead. Good luck with everything and remember that no matter what lies ahead you will never be facing it alone. xxxx
ReplyDeletefind your blog on twitter by accident for someone tweet your blog on it.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle Xiao Jun had passed away because of cancer as you have. But never lose hope, I wish wonder would come to you.
I will try to be a bone marrow donor to help people, I don't know if China has this kind of organization, if it does, I will be one of the donors.
At last, wish you enjoy life you have, and I'll pray.(I hope you can get what I mean for this is a poor English user.)
Hi alice was just watching hockey night in canada when a tweet came up mentioning to come to this page.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless you and your family. You are an inspiration to anyone and everyone that crosses your path. You have already taught me there is so much more to live for than to be upset over the little things. I recently got into a fight with a friend, and instead of moping around I realize it can be a positive thing to take steps to not make the same mistakes next time. You have taught me to look at things in a positive light, and to see the good intentions in people and good things in life as a blessing. I'm so glad I came across your blog on Twitter. It just made my day, and changes the way I look at things now : )
ReplyDeleteTake Care!

God bless you!

God Bless you Alice, you are truly an inspiration. I know this journey cannot be an easy one for you...but stay strong sweetie. You are an AMAZING person with such a brave soul and I am truly honored to have come across your blog. Because of you I am going to sign up to be a bone marrow donor.
ReplyDeleteAshley - Lebanon Ohio
Stay strong sweetie! You are an inspiration to us all!
ReplyDeleteDear Alice,
ReplyDeleteYou brought me to tears. I am sorry, that's not how I should start this out. But I look at my 3 kids and wonder what I would do if I were in your mum and dads place. You are an Amazing young lady, and before this is all over, you will have a HUGE following, it's just part of the internet now. Your story will reach millions within months. Don't worry about everyone trying to donate money, it's the only way some ppl have to show you how much they support you. Some ppl just want to help in anyway possible, its human nature. I look forward to reading your blog as you move through this arduous battle. We all hope you beat the cancer, but mostly we want you to live a full life before you leave this plane of existence. Definetly go Whale watching, they are beautiful! You may not be able to swim with dolphins, but you can go to a place that has them, I am sure they would let you pet one! I hope you are resting good today and in little pain today. I am Native American and I would like to send you a prayer: May The Eagle bring peace and love on its wings, and May Grandfather grant you a painfree and full night of sleep. You amaze me.
Comfort, love, and support from Cincinnati, Ohio. Hoping for lots of ticks and pics.
ReplyDeleteJust want you to know I will be joining the USA National Bone Marrow registry @ http://www.marrow.org/index.html
ReplyDeleteHi Alice!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful of you to choose to get the most out of life and to give to the world the inspiration to sign up for the bone marrow bank. My nephew received a bone marrow transplant just last year, and although it was very difficult, it saved his life. At one point, it seemed like all hope was lost, but he is now well on his way to being a healthy 16-year-old. I applaud your efforts to raise awareness about the bone marrow bank. And I pray there is a miracle in store for you, just as there was for my nephew.
Lotsa love,
Kat in Quebec City
p.s. I love your dog too! What a cutie!
You are a VERY brave girl & i hope you and your family have enormous fun with all the experiences you have lined up. I also have posted on Take That's FB page & Twitter for you, hope it happens for you, i'm sure it will.
ReplyDeleteReading your blog & telling my friends about it makes my eyes leak this strange fluid, as you're around doctors occasionally could you please ask them what it may be? ;)
I, like many others that have posted on here, am looking forward to seeing the photos of your fun days out. Take it easy, but have as much fun as you can as well. Hehehe. You are constantly in my thoughts since hearing of you & i hope you have as much fun as you can stand, and then some more. Lol.
I am holding back from donating bone marrow for the moment, until i find out if my sister needs it as i am the only compatible donor within my family and she has Myeloma which has come back after a 4 year remission period. If she goes with her stem cell treatment instead i will definitely sign up to donate.
I am a Star Wars geek and i wish the Force was real & i could use it to heal, for you would be 2nd on my list (after my sis). I have contacts with actors from the original SW films & some of them are posting & tweeting about you after i posted on my FB & Twitter. If there is anything i can do for you even tho i'm miles away in Southampton please don't hesitate to ask, i will do my best to help. So for now i bid you goodnite & may the Force be with you.
Last year, a football player (I'm from the US) had signed up to become a bone marrow donor. He ended up being a match to a middle aged man. This young man gave up playing football for an entire year because of the drugs he had to take. But he ended up saving this man's life.
ReplyDeleteSo this year, when my university held a bone marrow donor registry, I, as well as hundreds of other students, faculty, and members of the community signed up to donate their bone marrow.
I wasn't planning on doing it again next year (if you have to register multiple times...) But next year, I will do it for you.
Best wishes!
Alice,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I think you are an incredible girl. It is incredible how strong you and all of the others fighting cancer are. I hope that you are able to knock off a couple wishes off of your bucket list- you deserve them. I will pray for a miracle to happen. Never give up. xxx. Jana St.Louis, Missouri
Hi girl! You make me proud and I haven't even met you :)
ReplyDeleteIf there's anything on your list to be done in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I'm your girl. Let me know so we can tick one of those pending things together!
:)
Love,
Cecilia.
I am already registered as a bone marrow donor, but I hope everyone who sees your blog registers as well.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best in checking off items on your bucket list.
Hi sweetie,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog. You don't have to reply to me, I just wanted to let you know that you're an amazing girl and I'll be praying for your healing. And if it's not God's will for the healing of your cancer, then I pray that you will accomplish all the things on your bucket list.
God bless!
~Michelle
Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. – John 14:1-3
ReplyDeleteYou are a true inspiration to me and an example of strength we can all benefit from. May you and your family enjoy the peace and joy that you richly deserve and know we are grateful you share your life with us today.
ReplyDeleteReading through the comments on your blog, I am amazed how one person can affect so many all over the world. I think you make everyone realize how precious life is and not to take the time we have for granted. My thoughts and prayers are with you! I look forward to reading more on your blog. Keep posting updates!
ReplyDeleteI know I just posted on your blog, but I am literally in awe and feel I need to comment further. Do you realize Miss Alice you are an inspiration to others all over the world? You are also a TT on Twitter all over the world (including right here in Cincinnati OHIO). I am no stranger to the struggles cancer can bring to ones life, I lost my boyfriend to cancer 5 yrs ago...but let me tell you babe MIRACLES HAPPEN, he lived much longer than expected. You are such a beautiful wonderful individual and I want you to always remember that you have made suuuuuuuch a huge impact in the lives of many people, including mine. I had heard bone marrow donation hurt but after reading your experience with it, I'm going to donate. I hope it can help someone special like you.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see the pics/posts from your adventures.
I'll keep a good thought for you, Alice. Best of luck with your list, but I hope you beat the odds.

Hi Alice -- if you are still in need of a photoshoot, I am on the other side of the pond but would be happy to help. Send me an email to oana@shutterview.com
ReplyDeleteYour spirit is amazing.
Alice-You are an incredible inspiration to people around the world. We are all rooting for you, and I'm proud to say that, like so many people commenting here, I too signed up in the US today on www.marrow.org and they say my cheek swab kit will arrive in the mail in 1 week. Thank you for allowing others to be a part of your journey, and I hope that you realize how many lives you are going to save by having the courage to share your battle with the world and bring awareness to bone marrow donor registries. If I am called upon in the future to become a donor, I will be very proud to honor this commitment and think of you!
ReplyDeleteKeep Smiling,
Jenna
Dear Alice,
ReplyDeleteThough I cannot do much financially I would be very much interested in helping in any way I can. I have experience in networking and community organizing. As a "retired" photographer I would lend my services to do as many photo shoots as you wish, but unfortunately I am in the US. Anything I can do I will. You have the support of all of us, likely all of humanity. We will be here.
If I can help I will,
Your friend,
Mike
As a mum of my own 15yo daughter, may i say you're so brave and inspirational! Buona fortuna :) to you, your mum .. all your family and friends. x
ReplyDeleteAlice, God Bless You, you are inspiring the world tonight. You are in so many people's thoughts and prayers. Reversals can come out of nowhere, anything is possible. Hopefully at some far point down the road, there is a special place for you in Heaven.

You are an amazing kid. Know that you have changed the world. You have touched my heart. Bless you and your family and friends. And I hope you are watching twitter. You are trending like crazy.
ReplyDeleteYou're inspiring so many people, Alice!
ReplyDeleteI live in New Caledonia in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I went whale watching once and took some photos. I can share them with you if you give me an e.mail address :)

Hi Alice,
ReplyDeleteYou are truly remarkable and an inspiration. I wish you the best of luck in fulfilling your bucket list. My husband and I are cheering you on from North Carolina in the United States!
Oups, I forgot to give you my e.mail address: sophie.eschenlohr@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you xoxo
What an inspiration! I'll be checking back to see where your adventures take you, and I will be signing up for the bone marrow registry the next time I donate blood.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you.
Hi Alice,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mrs. Jos van Santen, I'm from the Netherlands and I found your blog via Twitter. You're a really good writer missy, even tho you never even thought you would create blogs like these, LOL.
Let's see, your "to get a back message" wish seems to come true nicely. ;)
The "have my hair done" wish shouldn't be a problem, there múst be hairdressers amongst the many ppl. who have written you already. If I were a hairdresser I'd come over and do it myself but believe me, you so do nót want mé to mess with your hair.
I'm no photographer either, only have a simple digital camera, but methinks sómeone can fullfill your wish to take some nice pics of you and Mabel.
Ahhhh, "To meet Take That", you've got great taste, young lady.
Maybe, if we all write a message to Take That we can make your wish come true. I've heard they're, next to being good-looking góód guys(hey, my eyesight is still very good, even at 59, LOL)with great singing voices, also very nice men. The fact you live in the UK must help already. ;)
I'm impressed by your strength and positive attitude, kudos to yóu girl AND kudos to your family, who obviously love you very much. (smart mom you have!!)
You knów your condition isn't exactly as it should be and it seems to me that, next to the treatment you get, a miracle wouldn't go to waste either. As it happens I dó believe in miracles (honestly) - they don't happen often but they dó happen, so I'll have a heart-to-heart with the Man Upstairs, in the hope he will grant yóu one. One can hope, right? And I dó, with all my might!
Good luck missy, and take care. I wish that quite a few of YOUR wishes will come true for you.
Jos.
XO
You have inspired me Alice to be a brave man and never give up to face the future. God has sent you to this world because He knows what a special one You are.

ReplyDeleteYou are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L! I know you must have difficult days, but you have made the very best of what you have been given, something that a lot of people on this Earth will never do. Stay strong! Live like you've never lived before! I know that you have inspired me too =)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you didn't have more followers before! You're awesomely sweet and funny, and you're in my thoughts and prayers. You keep rockin' it girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are such an incredible person. I think it is wonderful that you are making a list of all the wonderful things you want to see and do before you enter heaven. If you don't know God, you may want to add him to your list. If there is anything that you would like from Alabama (USA), I would be glad to assist. No one knows there days on earth, so live life to the fullest. God Bless You and BLOG ON!
ReplyDeleteDear Alice,
ReplyDeleteI hope you recover soon because I really am praying for you. You made me see that everything I complain about is just plain silly because I truly have a lot to be grateful for. Thanks for that. I hope you get to check everything off of your bucket list you little princess! :)
<3
You are truly a wonderful and brave person inside and out. I joined the bone marrow registry this March and hope to someday be the answer to someone's prayer. Your outlook on life and optimism is truly inspiring and your testimony has already made a huge impact on the world. God bless, and I hope you accomplish everything your heart desires.
ReplyDeleteI am posting this from NY. You are amazing. I pray you get to do everything you want to do. Don't give up yet. I am praying for you. Expect MIRACLES.
ReplyDeleteHi Alice, new Bucket List item: Change the World ... Check!
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best and hope you get to complete your list. I'll be watching, reading and hoping for you.
Wishing you well from Canada!
Good luck.
ReplyDeleteAlice, your bucket list rocks. My son, who is 8 and has cerebral palsy, is obsessed with purple and would also love a purple iPad ("ur-ul i-ah" is what he calls it).
ReplyDeleteMy son has taught me to enjoy every day, which is what you are doing. He's also inspired me to raise awareness about our kids, which is also what you're doing—on a far bigger scale! You should be so proud. One person can change the world, and right now, that person is you.
Ellen, Max's mom
I love the fact a lot of people are trying to help you in such a short time. I just want you to know, you have a lot of people praying for you right now. How did I hear about this? There is a camp, called Bigstuf Camps that thousands of kids come to every summer. We are broadcasting your blog everywhere. God bless you Alice :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, Alice! Thank you for sharing your story and your bucket list!
ReplyDeleteHey Alice -
ReplyDeleteI'm a cancer survivor, and I know you can do it too! Just by reading your blog I can tell how BRAVE you are, and how hard you are willing to FIGHT.

ReplyDeleteI am touched also by all the offers of help u have had,,,,u take all that comes ur way you and your family deserves it.
You will be in my prayers xxx
You are a brave brave girl! Best of luck- As I write this comment you are trending on twitter. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks. My circumstances are nowhere near as dire as yours, and I hadn't been handling them with anywhere near the grace and class you have.
ReplyDeleteI'm nearly triple your age, but you've shown me how to be a grown-up. :)
I'm going to look into signing up for the bone marrow donor list in the morning.
You have a beautiful old soul. God bless you and your family. Nothing I say here hasn't already been said. But know that you have touched thousands with your spirit and strength. You have already had more of a positive impact in your young years than many have in their entire lives. My love and prayers are with you. - Melyssa xo
ReplyDeletePrayers for you, dear. My father also had the same chemo treatments that you did. He was an old man (Grandpa) but he too had a bucket list. They harvested his bone marrow just like yours and then then cleaned it up and put it back. It worked for quite a while, but the cancer came back. Prayers for you that you will get to do all the wonderful things you want to do.
ReplyDeleteKaren, Oklahoma
Hi sweetie, you inspire me. I believe in miracles. You're a strong and a brave person. My family and I are with you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you :)
Hi Alice, I gotta tell you I'm not the kind of person who can be touched by just anything, but for some reason your bucket list on twitter got my attention and I have to say you really are special. So far I can tell you everybody's reading about you, I live in Mexico and got the tweet in english and spanish! Since I'm miles away all I can help with is offering to design a mug for fundraising and since I'm a publicist I'm pretty sure we can make it happen and make it big, that way you'll touch hearts around the world and help to cancer awareness/organizations. Alice's team: let me know how can we make this happen. cindystass@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteKeep the good vibe, because you're definitely one of the angels sent to touch hearts on earth.
You are so young and have already impacted so many people. You should be proud of that. I will pray for you and your family throughout this difficult time. Stay strong and complete as much of your bucket list as you can! Take care & God bless you! XOXO.
ReplyDeleteI am truly in awe of your words and of you. You seem to have more piece of mind and presence than most adults that I know. You are an inspiration of how I'd like my daughter to live her life, living for the moment and dreaming big. I signed up to get my donor registry kit today, and I'm encouraging everyone I know to do the same. Thank you for a reminder that there are amazing people in the world.
ReplyDeleteHi, Alice, just a quick visit from Los Angeles. I love your bucket list! Anyone who has so many chocolatey wishes is cool in my book. I hope you get to experience all kinds of wonderful things because of your sudden fame! Sorry you were suddenly overwhelmed by messages and attention, it must be pretty weird - but hey, this internet thing is kinda amazing and I am really happy that someone who seems so sweet and excellent gets a little bit of attention for once. Best best best wishes, take care of yourself and your mom and sis. -Michelle
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You seem like a really cool girl! Best of luck to you and enjoy all the good times ahead!
ReplyDeleteAlice- You are a very strong girl. I've had plenty of loved ones diagnosed with terminal illnesses, and you know what? Some of them are still here today.
ReplyDeleteJust a little reminder to never give up hope. Because there is always hope. & God has a plan for everyone. You've got the whole world praying for you now, and you deserve a miracle.
Stay strong girl.
Keep fighting & don't give up <33
wow, what can I say.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin passed away almost 2 years ago for brain tumor, and during his process he taught me that it's ok to feel upset, to be angry to be sad but it's also ok to feel happy to laugh to dream when everything seems so grey, hopeless and lost. We learnt to laugh even in most unthinkable situations, some people thought it was weird and not "normal", but no one really ever knew/will know what he went through. I believe you have to be very brave to be able to cry and be mad, but then turn the tables and get the something good out of an awful and unfair situation.
You are truly an inspiration, as so was/ is he (he also wrote a blog and opened up his soul to the world which i think is very very brave)
I can't do anything to make you Physically feel better but i CAN send you all my good vibes, and from the bottom of my heart y wish you love, strength happiness and laughter which i believe is a good remedy for the soul.
I admire you, I really do.. you've earned a permanent spot on my prayers (which I have to admit are very rare, but will be a lot more often from now on just for you)
Love and a HUGE hug all the way from Bogotá , Colombia.
Laura.
ps. sorry for all the rambling
Peace Love and May Your Dreams Come True! :)
ReplyDeleteFor a 15 year old you are one of the bravest young girls I've ever known or heard of. Cancer is this world's worst enemy and for you to battle it and keep a smile on your face is an inspirational sight.
ReplyDeleteKeep Fighting! Never give up hope. There are miracles in this world and you and what you are accomplishing is one of them. <3
What an amazing young lady you are. You have definitely inspired alot of people to sign up for bone marrow donation (me included). You should be so proud of yourself. I really hope you get to tick all the items on your list. My heart goes out to you & your family. Thoughts & prayers from my family to yours. xxxx The Gallifords - Adelaide SA Australia
ReplyDeleteHey Alice - Greetings from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I live with my husband and I am a mom of a 9 year old little boy named Benjamin. We also have a cat - Isabella Rosellini, a hamster called "hammee" and a fish named "fishie" - guess who named the fish and hamster? Yes, you are are correct darling - my son. :) He also has a bear that was given to him when he was born and he calls it "dolly". We are listening to the Boston Bruins Hockey team playing in the Stanley Cup playoffs. We live on the ocean and recently saw a whale off the shore feeding. It was amazing! My mom has a yellow lab - Goldie who is a sweetheart. She keeps my mom safe and is a great companion too. Her neighbor was very scared of goldie b/c she would smile at them and they thought she was fierce. It was very funny! She does smile - does your dog smile? Well we are sending you lots of love and happiness from Maine. Fondly, Ruth, Nathan and Benjamin....and Hammie and Fishie and Isabella and Goldie too!
ReplyDeleteAlice,

ReplyDeleteHi Alice,
ReplyDeleteLike a few others I too have contacted Emma Bridgewater and informed them of your bucket list. I live in the area Emma Bridgewater is based and know someone who works there too so I'll see if I can get them to bug the management! ;) In my email I've also told them, if they're willing to help, I'll contact the local newspaper to see if they will run a story and raise awareness of the need for bone marrow donors and the sale of your charity mug.
You truly are an inspiration. Your story, the messages of support and offers of help in fulfilling your bucket list has brought tears to me eyes... and I'm a 33 year old cynical bloke! (but don't tell anyone! lol)
All the best sweetheart x

Just discovered your blog... my friend posted it on her Facebook page. I have signed up to "Follow" you on your journey. Thank you for sharing. Cancer has touched many people in my family and several close friends as well. It is an awful disease. How courageous of you to find the silver lining and live an adventure while facing such an obstacle. May you find encouragement in sharing your journey!
ReplyDeleteAlice, I am so impressed and appalled by your courage. You are a young woman that deserves the world on a silver platter, yet you are completely content with the world you have come to live with. I salute you for being as brave as you are, as I'm not sure I would have enough pluck to see the world as you do right now. I respect everything you stand for, even if the only thing you stand for is yourself. I just want you to know that because of you and your simple, meaningful bucket list, I have now begun the registration process to become a bone marrow donor. I am in awe of you and will pray for you constantly. May love follow you wherever you go. I know God's working on it already. Much courage and faith, Lexi.
ReplyDeleteHi Alice,
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me but I saw your wish being retweeted on Twitter so I did the same and then came to your blog. You truly are an inspiration and I hope you keep on fighting as you are an amazing and brave young lady.
Much love,
Josh from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
