My Amazing Girls ...

Yesterday morning, after six days of climbing, my amazing Milly mops summited the world's tallest freestanding mountain for her sister.
She battled on despite severe sickness and pain and managed to fulfil Alice's wish to have some of her ashes scattered on the top of Kilimanjaro, which is almost 6,000 metres high.
This is definitely a proud mummy moment - I was blessed with two extraordinary girls

  20. Well done, Milly - you are so very brave. It must have been hard work and altitude sickness is horrid. It puts me off 'doing' Kili but you did it and you are a star. Your sister would be proud of you.

My sister died a few years ago. She was also called Alice and had kidney failure. I did a trek along the Great Wall Of China to raise funds for Kidney Research - I thoroughly recommend it. xxx

  21. I thought of you this Christmas and was wishing you peace. I read of your plans to ski and I pray it was a beautiful day. Sometimes when I ski I feel as tho I could reach out and touch the sky. I am sure that Alice is keeping watch over you all.
