Hello :)

Hello :)
It's a bit funny me doing a blog because mum has always done these sort of things and I've never really being interested before.
Most of you know that my scan at Alder Hey wasn't very good and that the cancer is now spreading through my body. It's a pain because there's so much stuff that I still want to do. I guess that my particular cancer is made of strong stuff (which is hard because I know I gave it my all and I'm strong and determined too).
Anyway, mum always tells me that life is what we make of it and so I'm going to make the best of what I have and because there were so many things I still wanted to do, mum suggested that I turn my ideas into a bucket list.  I've not quite finished it yet, as I keep remembering other bits, so I might add things to is as I go along.
I'm not expecting to do everything on it.  Some of the things are just not going to happen because I can't even leave the country now (I'm too much of a risk), but they're on there, because they were on my 'to do' list at some point.  So, I thought it would be fun to have my list online and to tick things off and do a little update on everything I do :)  If anyone has suggestions, please let mum or dad know because they don't know how to do all of it yet.  They're working on it!

There was a break there because I can't figure out how to add a list.  I think I'm going to have to ask mum to do it because she can do anything.  I'll press the post button and then I'll try and post the list through the day.

A very good bucket list so far! I hope you get to do all of them, especially Take That as they are awesome. I have joined the Anthony Nolan Trust, I had been thinking of it for a while but your blog made up my mind. I have a little girl and I hope she grows up to be half as brave as you are. Love and best wishes to you, your family and friends.

  70. Dear Alice,

I really don't know what to say, but I'm here.. reading this journal via a retweet from my twitter page.. smiling from my heart at the end of the page.

I was just trying to study Economics, was actually cussing a little bit because I have the final tomorrow and not ready.

    But then you.. because of you right now I , once again could see the colors in life. Actually, like in this quote from a book I've read when I was little;

"If you're lucky enough, maybe you can see the 8th color in rainbow too."

I believe your strength and belief in life right now gave me that.

I'll be around hopefully, wanna share this journey with you..

But you are so young and though your age, you are one of the most admirable and strong human beings.

I trully wish you all the happiness and please, keep thinking the way you do now. This planet needs more human beings like you.

My vet told me she's very lucky, because she most likely doesn't *know* she's sick, and so I shouldn't treat her that way. So, she and I visit other people in hospital and hospice and I love seeing how she cheers the patients up. I hope Mabel cheers you up just as much, and I'm very proud of you for continuing to live a full life even though, unlike Dora, you know you're sick.

You are a beautiful girl, inside and out, and you are soo encouraging, to live our lives to the fullest, for we never know when it could be our last day. Oh dearie, my heart and my prayers goes out to you. I want to ask you... Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior yet? Before Him, I used to feel empty inside. He has changed my life forever and I believe it with all of my heart that He can heal you. If it is God's will I am so sure you are going to be healed. We need to have faith. Faith can move mountains. Jesus said to us that if we can believe, anything is possible for those who believe. I know it in my heart that you can be healed. 175. I wanted to post this information here for you. I don't know what options there are in your country, but maybe someone could look into this for you. It worked in Canada. Maybe someone will step up to the plate.

You are an inspiring young lady. I have daughters myself, and I would love for them to grow up to be as thoughtful and articulate as you are. Your courage and positive attitude are not only a testament to you, but also to the amazing job your parents have done in raising you. I hope you have many wonderful experiences and I look forward to reading about them all. God bless you and your family.

    Alice,

I'm so incredibly sorry to hear that such a young, sweet girl has to endure something that nobody should ever have to endure in their lifetime. You have such amazing grace and an incredibly positive attitude, and are a living message of encouragement to those around you. I wish you were well enough to be able to fulfill all of your wishes on your bucket list; I am praying that you will be able to accomplish them all! In such a difficult, trying time, you have the well-being of others at heart; not many people will are able to live such a fulfilling life. I hope you know how truly special you are. I wish you the best in accomplishing your bucket list. I'm sorry that I had to learn of you this way, but I'm glad I got the chance to hear your story. You are in my prayers. I look forward to following you in your adventures. Love from Minnesota!

  180. hey Alice! I just wanted to tell you that my dad is a cancer paitent. he is a sox year survivor/fighter. I just wanted to say that I understand what you're going through somewhat. I can't imagine what it would be like fighting this fight first hand, although I do know that it is Jo easy road to travel for anybody. I wanted to share with you that I believe the power of prayer is a large part as to why my dad is still alive today. I will pray for you for healing and for your family and friends that they help get you through this. I admire you because you are such a strong person and I know that without knowing you! if you have twitter I will follow you. I pray that this is not the end for you. I digest reading the book called Heaven is For Real. ifyou believe in Jesus and Heaven, you will have a new outlook on death. hopefully it will help you view it as a new world rather than a sad thing. I support you and I wish you all the best! god bless.

  182. Alice,

You are so amazing! I only recently completed chemotherapy for stage III colon cancer. You possess such an enviable strength to handle this as bravely as you do. It is hard to believe you are only 15. Honestly, I do not know how well I could accept the certainty of such a prognosis now at 36! So, even though I am twice your age, I will consider you as one of my heroes and one whose example I want to imitate in however many years I may have still to come.

Best of luck with your list.

    Eduard

  187. Dear Alice,
I am in true awe of your poise and courage. I myself am 16 years old and cannot imagine how a girl of your age can be so optimistic and happy each day. I want you to know that all though I do not personally know you, I love you. I love your positivity and charm, your young spirit and kindness. I know that you are making so many people proud each day. You are loved so much and I am praying for you each day. Continue to be the change you wish to see in the world because you have inspired me to do the same.
Love, with all my heart and soul, another teenage girl

  188. Alice,
I've read your story. It's heart-breaking that a girl my age that's full of so much optimism has to be diagnosed with cancer. I'm unsure of how to help you, considering I don't have the money and don't find solace in prayer, but know that you are in my thoughts. I know that you're going to fight this cancer for as long as you can. Actually, I'm jealous that you have so much more motivation than I do. I hope you complete all the items on your bucket list before you, well, kick the bucket.

  189. Hi Alice,

I wish circumstances were better for you.

We all question things in our lives when they go wrong and naturally, never when they are right.

Its obvious to assume we are all routing for you. I myself am an eternal optimist. Like Winston Churchill once said, "Never never never never give up"

If your cancer is tough, be tougher.

Miracles caused by individuals incredible immunity & determination happen every single day.

Enjoy that "list". I wont call it a bucket list.

We will all pray for you. We will all think of you.

    Regards, Alex

If you are able to travel to Seattle, Washington, here in the United States, my family and I would love to take you to Puget Sound in the San Juan Islands and go Killer Whale watching. Our treat, but I know that traveling can be really difficult when you're sick.
